Hilarious

This is so true! Not all of them but wow, very close! I really like the last one - Drunk to Drunk.

People are definitely strange when they drink. You know that you aren't typing correctly but yet, you don't care. You know that the other person cannot read what you just sent but you don't care. WHAT?! How is that?

Why is that?

Why do we do such stupid things?

Husbands...they surprise you sometimes!

I am at my desk working away to get the Health Fair info ready and the phone rings.....Guess what.....A husband of a member of Body Core is purchasing his wife 2x a week personal training with me as a BIRTHDAY GIFT! For TWO months! How awesome is he to do something to continue to help motivate her!!! He said that she is frustrated that she isn't moving her weight like she wanted and so he thought this was a great way to help her! I am so excited! If I ever meet this man, he will get a definite hug from me!

It is fantastic to know that people are out there supporting their spouses!

LOOOOVE IT!

Peek into my Weekend

I started my weekend with a little bit of "Lucifer". She is one of my instructors at Body Core. She is what I would call a Cardio Queen of Insane Workouts! She literally kicks your butt all over the place and continues to instruct at the same time of doing the workout. She is amazing and I am oh-so-lucky to have her!  Lucy worked every part of my body and pretty much caused me to burn as many calories as I did in the spin class before. She is crazy!

Next, 8 hours of serious cleaning, I mean GUTTING, my house. I worked on my closets, in my kitchen, and the laundry room. The kids all worked on their bedrooms with FULL instruction from me! LOL They had to be told a couple of times on how to "clean" a room. By the time I was ready to relax, my back hurt so bad that I couldn't. 

The next morning I got up to even worse back pain and had plenty of work in front of me to do. I think I put in about 7 hours of work Sunday. This was more of loading up trash and getting it down the hill to the dumpster for pick up. That was TWO truck loads! And the bad thing, we still have trash to go down.  We have too much junk. The girls' rooms were cleaned out of all of their toys for the past five years and the boys had probably 10 years of stuff in their rooms.


We did save all of the good clothes and are donating them to a local church that helps our community.  I also brought all of my books up to the gym for people to take. Three trash bags. Most of it now is gone already! YEA!

Soooo, when I got to work this morning, I did feel much better but in desperate need of a weekend! :)

MY Thoughts – Last Night’s Biggest Loser

This is an absolute MUST READ! There are so many parts of Bob's blog that is so true and I back up his words 100%!!! Not that he needs it! He knows his stuff! I just like to see it in writing!

The last paragraph about Courtney and her plateau......so truthful! This is such a discouraging thing and I worry so much about people when they hit this section in their weight loss journey. I have been there and it is HORRIBLE! 

Keep the faith! Keep striving and you will reach your goal!!!

Sugar

Why is sugar so good but yet so horribly bad for us to eat? I mean, REALLY!? It's in candy bars, soda, and a lot of every day - table food items. Yet, we aren't supposed to eat it! Check out this article about how many pounds we have all put on over the last decade or so just by eating too much sugar!

And get this --> Sugar is noteworthy as a substance that releases opioids and dopamine and thus might be expected to have addictive potential. --- Just pulled that line from another website! WOW! It just keeps getting better and better!

45 grams of allowance a day? That sounds about right. I try to keep my meals (3 meals) below 13 g per meal...doesn't always work but it's a goal at least. I have a number in my head. It's a great place to start! ;-)

I don't drink any soda, and I eat candy bars very rarely. If I do eat one, I split it up over a couple of days instead of all in one sitting. I have to still have my chocolate - typically try to stick to the dark so I can get my extra nutrients out of it and not feel so bad!
 (Not this kind of chocolate but couldn't resist the picture! ---- Don't you just want to catch the chocolate drip?! HOLY CRAPOLA!)

Monday Mornings

I can't complain too much about Mondays. I only work until 2 p.m. - well of course I know that I will still work on stuff once I am home but my actual "being at work" ends at 2:00 p.m. But still....Mondays are NEVER much fun! It's the first day of coming off the weekend. Who wants to really go back to work! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my job but enjoying days off is amazing! Just relaxing! Especially by a pool! With the sun shining on my face...... No, BEAMING on my face! Friends are involved here as well! 


So as my imagination runs wild with these thoughts, I am at my Summer home up in Mohican, Smith's Campground, and I am lounging by the pool, with my kids in the water, my friends beside me, cooler full, and again, the SUN is shining oh-so brightly! I simply cannot wait until Summer gets here! 


Since Spring - and I use that word EXTREMELY LOOSELY -- is here....now I am ready for SUMMER! 


Can't get here fast enough!

Weekends

Why are weekends so tough for nutrition?  We bust our butts to keep in shape throughout the week and the weekend comes along and throws a HUGE curveball in there! Which then makes us work just as hard the following week - to not gain any strides and do it all over again. Why? Why is pizza so good and so easy to obtain but even if you eat the veggie style, you are still putting in extra calories that you don't need (or want!)

This is all being stated as I am eating pizza. Which I have worked very hard at my nutrition and my fitness this past week...just to throw it away by eating pizza!

Does working out for a hard 2 hours this morning account for anything though?! I highly doubt it!

Still waiting for spring to arrive...........................

In need of Spring

Today didn't start out so wonderful. I was hoping for a delay in my day so I could sleep....which I didn't get but we did get the SNOW! Ugh! I am over this weather! I need my Spring! I am struggling here. I am tired of running on a treadmill, cycling indoors, and working out with free weights! I want to go outside and do some hard core - boot camp style - workouts! I have the itch. Now it just needs scratched. 

Anyway, back to my morning. I got up in time to be ready and be at the gym early (two of my clients were coming in for spin and I wanted to ensure for a hard workout) but of course it didn't happen that way. I walked in as they were climbing on the bikes. 


Back at my house, as I am getting ready, I put on my brand new, hot pink, cute as heck, sweatpants (matching my pink Asics) and as I am walking, my pants start to itch. I reach around and see a small tiny little tag itching me. So, I pull it off............Guess what ---- Oh yes....a hole appears! UGH! This is as I am walking out the door.


And what do I see as I pull out of the garage --- 

--- Snow, Snow, and more Snow! Ahhhh! I am done with this weather! It is the middle of March! 


I am in desperate need of spring and I want it N.O.W.!!!
