My comments to Bob's comments

MY Thoughts – Last Night’s Biggest Loser

This is an absolute MUST READ! There are so many parts of Bob's blog that is so true and I back up his words 100%!!! Not that he needs it! He knows his stuff! I just like to see it in writing!

The last paragraph about Courtney and her plateau......so truthful! This is such a discouraging thing and I worry so much about people when they hit this section in their weight loss journey. I have been there and it is HORRIBLE! 

Keep the faith! Keep striving and you will reach your goal!!!

Sugar

Why is sugar so good but yet so horribly bad for us to eat? I mean, REALLY!? It's in candy bars, soda, and a lot of every day - table food items. Yet, we aren't supposed to eat it! Check out this article about how many pounds we have all put on over the last decade or so just by eating too much sugar!

And get this --> Sugar is noteworthy as a substance that releases opioids and dopamine and thus might be expected to have addictive potential. --- Just pulled that line from another website! WOW! It just keeps getting better and better!

45 grams of allowance a day? That sounds about right. I try to keep my meals (3 meals) below 13 g per meal...doesn't always work but it's a goal at least. I have a number in my head. It's a great place to start! ;-)

I don't drink any soda, and I eat candy bars very rarely. If I do eat one, I split it up over a couple of days instead of all in one sitting. I have to still have my chocolate - typically try to stick to the dark so I can get my extra nutrients out of it and not feel so bad!
 (Not this kind of chocolate but couldn't resist the picture! ---- Don't you just want to catch the chocolate drip?! HOLY CRAPOLA!)

Monday Mornings

I can't complain too much about Mondays. I only work until 2 p.m. - well of course I know that I will still work on stuff once I am home but my actual "being at work" ends at 2:00 p.m. But still....Mondays are NEVER much fun! It's the first day of coming off the weekend. Who wants to really go back to work! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my job but enjoying days off is amazing! Just relaxing! Especially by a pool! With the sun shining on my face...... No, BEAMING on my face! Friends are involved here as well! 


So as my imagination runs wild with these thoughts, I am at my Summer home up in Mohican, Smith's Campground, and I am lounging by the pool, with my kids in the water, my friends beside me, cooler full, and again, the SUN is shining oh-so brightly! I simply cannot wait until Summer gets here! 


Since Spring - and I use that word EXTREMELY LOOSELY -- is here....now I am ready for SUMMER! 


Can't get here fast enough!

Weekends

Why are weekends so tough for nutrition?  We bust our butts to keep in shape throughout the week and the weekend comes along and throws a HUGE curveball in there! Which then makes us work just as hard the following week - to not gain any strides and do it all over again. Why? Why is pizza so good and so easy to obtain but even if you eat the veggie style, you are still putting in extra calories that you don't need (or want!)

This is all being stated as I am eating pizza. Which I have worked very hard at my nutrition and my fitness this past week...just to throw it away by eating pizza!

Does working out for a hard 2 hours this morning account for anything though?! I highly doubt it!

Still waiting for spring to arrive...........................
